Hollywood bigwigs and film goers alike were left reeling by the news that the seemingly endless Fast and Furious franchise does not have a movie scheduled for release this week.

Fast and Furious 167 (Barnsley or Bust) was due for release on Friday but has been postponed following co-star Ant McPartlin’s arrest on drink driving charges this weekend.

The studio are discussing whether to reshoot scenes starring McPartlin in order to give him a bigger role in the film now that his stunt driving has been brought to the fore.

McPartlin, who managed to collide with two cars in South London on Sunday, had not publicised the fact that he did his own stunts in the film.

Declan Donnelly, McPartlin’s twin brother and long time business partner told the Rochdale Herald “Haway man!” but refused to expand on this statement.
