Scandal has again rocked the beautiful town of Rochdale this morning when news came to us of a local school that remarkably asked its pupils to ‘black up’ for their annual play which this year was Marvel’s Black Panther.

This comes hot on the heels of the shocking story of New Bradwell School in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire who made their children and teachers pull slanty eyes for a school photo while dressed in traditional Chinese outfits.

A spokeswoman for the school, who for obvious reasons wished to remain anonymous explained: “We really don’t see what all the fuss is about, the kids wanted to do a superhero play and as Black Panther is at the cinema currently we chose that one. We only have two black students so of course we gave them the lead roles but saw no harm in rubbing boot polish on our other students just to make up the numbers. I mean goodness me parents are just too quick to complain these days. It’s all this political correctness gone mad that made me vote for UKIP in the first place.”

With all the attention that this has courted from the national press it’s unclear whether their Christmas production of ‘Slum Dog Millionaire will still go ahead as planned
