It’s a day of celebration at the Rochdale Herald as we are delighted to announce we have won Satirical Web Page of the Year beating off stiff competition from Newsthump, The Daily Mash, The Southend News Network, BFNN and The Waterford Whispers.
The judges cited the fact that we hadn’t bothered to proof read a single article thus adding “to our charm as a hard hitting topical satirical online local newspaper.”
The competition run by our editor’s daughter’s school named us as by far the funniest page on the Internet.
A close second was Boris Johnson’s blog page. Those soft Southern meme thieving Jessies at The Southend News Network came dead last.
