With the craze sweeping the world, it appears that ‘Pokémon Go!’ has overtaken surfing as the world’s coolest hobby.
According to a new survey in Cosmopolitan almost 10 women agreed that out goes the sun bleached hair, tanned skin and muscles toned from hours of battling with currents. In comes superhero T-shirts and ralgex.
Local self confessed gamer-geek and prolific masturbator Geoff, 23, says it’s about time.
“Too long have I been sat in my chair worrying about manna, health points and other such things no one understands. Now I can get beach body ready by chasing imaginary monsters round the town. I’ve only been playing since last week and already I’ve developed a muscle. I’ve also been waved at by 20 women. True they were all in their cars, it was after I’d walked out in front of them. And they didn’t use all their fingers, but I’m counting it as a win.”
The movie world is also taking heed of the craze. The upcoming reboot of the reboot of the film Point Break has had several key scenes re-shot. The main chase set piece is now the two protagonists racing about on hoverboards very slowly, trying to catch a rare creature. And the hero Nigel, now dreams of catching the ‘Big One’, a rare Hypno with 400CP.
They’ve removed the love interest from the film as it wasn’t really believable.
