Nurses have upped the ante with the Government by sensationally threatening to continue to act in a professional fashion in their ongoing dispute over pay.
In a daring game of brinksmanship they are making a move that will clearly not put lives at risk.
And they increased pressure on NHS Managers in non-angry statement by recognising that it’s not really their fault, as they were having to digest a shit sandwich handed to them by the Government.
“It’s basically a shit sandwich handed to them by the Government” said a Nurse’s representative.
Other measures contemplated by Nurses include continuing to turn up before shifts start, working well beyond the end of their shifts and taking their work home with them as they appear to be the only ones that care about the collapse of standards in the NHS.
Patients groups have warned that the situation is unsustainable.
“This situation is unsustainable” said a patients group.
The Government declined to comment as they were all on a work-to-rule strike in a dispute over the House of Commons Tea Rooms no longer serving chocolate digestives.
