The Daily Mail and its readers have reacted with fury after a child was placed with a Muslim foster family due to a lack of Christian foster families to take the child in.

Many Mail readers support the papers stance. If no Christian families are available to foster then children should be left in the hands of their abusive Christian parents. Even if those parents have drink, drugs issues or mental health problems that mean they cannot look after their children properly.

It marks a change of tack for the newspaper and it’s readers. Generally they are known for reacting with fury when children die or are harmed at the hands of abusive parents due to the inaction of social services.

Mail reader, Wang Liqin said, “It’s disgraceful. The family made her remove her crucifix. It’s an obvious attempt to turn the country muslim by placing children with muslim foster parents. Social services will be prowling the streets in beaten up white vans abducting children from street corners to turn muslim next.”

It’s a sentiment shared by many Mail readers. Windsor Fraser said, “That child would have been better off with its parents. A decent, Christian family. Everyone knows social services take peoples kids off them for nothing. They’re always in the Mail for acting too quickly. Bit of abuse would do that kid some good. Toughen her up a bit and teach her that life is hard.”

Conservative MP, Kipper Herring, who visits church twice a year, has never read the Bible and calls his local vicar Father boring balls told us. “This is insulting to this countries proud Christian traditions. I’m sure there’s something in the Bible about Christian foster children being placed with Christian foster parents. Probably Leviticus or something. I’m outraged.”
Mail Columnist Sam Timony said, “This is yet another example of PC gone mad, broken Britain. The council should take a long hard look at themselves just like they did when I told them to after they failed to remove that child that died at the hands of its abusive parents a few years ago. Have they learned nothing?

We eat bacon and drink beer in this country. Are muslim parents going to feed this five year old girl bacon? Will they buy this five year old a pint, like her own parents? Is this the future we want for our children?”

However not everyone is as outraged. 20 year old Carl Isles told us, “I was fostered by Christian parents. The main issue was that I kept asking for evidence of God’s existence to back up their beliefs and they just kept pointing at their Bible. One day I pointed out that there’s more evidence for the existence of Santa. My foster dad told me that had I said that in a muslim country I’d be killed.

I don’t understand the issue really. They’re both the same God. Yawe, Allah, Jesus and Mazda. What’s the point in arguing over it.”

Brexit Minister Cliff Edge has also waded into the controversy, telling the Herald, “This is why we need Brexit. The EU would have said a child should be fostered by any available parents. As soon as we have our sovereignty back we’ll be able to house all children with abusive Christian parents.
