The BBC has announced that Jo Swinson will replace Michael Portillo as host of the show, in much the same way as a smug self-important high profile politician losing their seat will henceforth be known as a ‘Swinson moment’.
The format of the show will largely remain the same, with Swinson hopping on and off trains in a series of bizarre outfits of dubious colour combinations.
Instead of an 1870s Bradshaws Guide, however, Jo will carry a copy of the current network timetable to plan her route, though it is not thought this will be much more accurate.
