The latest attempt to reboot the Downing Street operating system failed after the Tory party IT department tried turning Maybot off and on again.

Nigel Prism-Fidget, head of IT for Conservative Party Central Office, confirmed that they had attempted to get rid of a nasty virus that has been causing untold damage to the NHS but it simply refused to budge.

“We’ve run all sorts of diagnostics and we know that people are eager to get rid of this bug, it’s incredibly unpopular,” he told The Rochdale Herald.

“We have a new program ready to run and this one comes with it’s own version of a new idea for healthcare called ‘Virgincare2018’ as part of the package. We just need to uninstall Hunt2012 and we can get the NHS running fine and making someone a tidy profit in no time.”

“Maybot’s os is starting to run really slowly and we need to introduce new software or she’s headed for a catastrophic system failure,” Nigel explained.

“To be honest, we’ve missed an opportunity. If we can’t work out how to delete Hunt2012’s system files we’ll have to shut her down. I know the Labour Party are keen to roll out Corbyn2022 early if they get the chance although he’s got a few bugs himself and his financial planner program ‘LittleRedBook64’ is positively ancient. It must be like working on a ZX Spectrum.”

Tory Party Central Office have not announced any plans to attempt another reboot although at least one newly installed program has already been deleted.
