Incredibly our appeal to buy gifts for children in poverty this year has secured more than 10,000 presents worth more than £70,000 in the last two weeks.

Literally thousands of children who would otherwise have received nothing on Christmas morning are waking up to Lego, books, science kits, aftershave, toy helicopters and cuddly toys all because of you guys.

All of us at The Rochdale Herald, NewsThump, The Southend News Network, Angry People in Local Papers and Tuckered are just gobsmacked at how you have all embraced this appeal and we can’t wait to do it all again. Just thank you so much.

There’s still time to donate a gift and we will be shipping to Mission Christmas in Leeds and Manchester until the 20th of December.

It couldn’t be easier. Go to www.satireaid.co.uk, buy a gift, it’ll be shipped the people putting these gifts into the hands of children this Christmas.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us and bought gifts.

Merry Christmas everybody and thank you, thank you!
