The election result has seen Jeremy Corbyn in a new light and he is hoping to continue this form into the next stage of the competition.
As with any success in this field, there is usually a back story but Jeremy is having more of an adventure within the competition.
After receiving a lot of encouragement from people and initially feeling very positive, Jeremy has found the competition hard and has endured criticism and unfair treatment from all sides. But fuelled by home made jam and fortified by time on the allotment he has stayed on the pitch.
The Rochdale Herald got an exclusive interview where he gave his thoughts on his journey and his hopes for the rest of the contest.
“Listen blud, I always knew I could get this far but a lot of people seemed determined for me to fail, even people I thought were my friends.
But I stuck to it, even when I wasn’t sure myself but at boot camp, I really came out of my shell again and am feeling great and I think I have won a lot of people over.
After being attacked for misinterpreted versions of the past, for my appearance and approach, I think I gave my best performance last week, and really put my stamp on the competition and made it my own.
I reckon I have enough skills to get through security week and fashion week. Just hope I can keep things going, I know I am worrying the opposition and I think I have got what it takes to win, even if it goes to deadlock”.
