The ‘Special Relationship’ between the United States and Britain is likely to get a lot stronger thanks to the efforts of Nigel Farage. He is to become the fourth Mrs. Donald Trump.

The revelation came to light as Trump begins to assemble his cabinet for when he is inaugurated as President in January. The alleged millionaire earlier named Vice President-elect Mike Pence as the head of the administration’s transition team after the concept of Chris Christie overseeing a bridge between the two government’s was too much of joke even for Trump.

“Through the campaign it was clear that Mr. Trump and Nigel were becoming very close,” said a senior Trump staffer who spoke to The Rochdale Herald on condition of anonymity. “I would even describe as soulmates.”

They continued: “They would frequently spend hours alone in rooms together. I once overheard Nigel say ‘Donald, it’s going to look so big in your hands’, but I obviously thought he was talking about America’s manufacturing sector.”

The similarities between the two men are clear. Both enjoy convincing the working class that they are men of the people while enjoying the trappings of the elite standing and establishment they claim to be working against. Trump even borrowed the pint-down-the-local play from Farage after allowing himself to be photographed eating KFC just like normal people (though he hoped the same normal people would overlook the fact he was eating KFC on his private plane).

For both Trump and Farage the upcoming marriage allows them to separate from their wives, who as immigrants undermine the anti-foreigner rhetoric both have built their standing upon.

The new relationship also allows Farage to remain relevant in world politics having previously voted himself out of a job as an MEP and then resigning from the leadership of UKIP only slightly slower than you admit you lied in bus form.

It also looks set to sure up the famed ‘Special Relationship’ which looked to be on shaky ground immediate after the US election when it was revealed that Theresa May was only the ninth world leader that Trump spoke to once his victory was confirmed.

Mike Pence’s office is yet to comment on the pending nuptials.
