In a dramatic twist in the GBBO story reports this morning say that founding members of the cast have signed contracts for a new show with Al Jazeera.

It is believed that in the new format contestants will compete in a number of innovative Baking challenges. These include;

Ramadan Fast-Baking – where contestants have 25 minutes before sun-down to prepare a post-fast feast

The Choux’s Are on The Outside – where contestants make Eclairs to be baked outside the local Mosque

McDonalds CheeseBurka – where contestants have to devise a respectful cheese based bread bun

The controversial TV station hopes that the show will as follow as successfully in the footsteps of other UK shows that they have translated well for a Middle Eastern audience such as;

Broadmosque – David Tennant stars as the Detective leading the search for the killer of a young boy found in the sand so that his parents can collect the Blood Money

Shouts of Praise – each week the show visits different villages to hear the Calls to Prayer

The Imam Lynley Mysteries – the religious sleuth tracks down evil plots to educate women

However Paul Hollywood is not going to be joining the cast. Producers said he has a poor attitude towards women and would offend their viewers.
