Google are busy bringing new servers online today as UK journalists research Grime to make it look like they’re with it.
“We at the Times are down with this Crime sound,” said one writer, “and our staff needn’t research this cool new wax as we are totally hip to the boulevard beats. We’ve been fans of Crime since Fizzy Pascal came along.”
“It doesn’t surprise me,” said an anonymous Guardian journalist, “most of these hacks aren’t as Street as I. I am one hep cat, daddio, but obviously some will obviously be checkin’ da wikis, yo.”
The sudden interest in Grime comes as Skepta won the Mercury prize for his hot new spin, Konnichiwa.
“Yo, dese journos are wack, man” said the Mirror’s Bob Da Dogg Leigh, “They be illin’ and I be chillin’ cause I know Grime and rhyme, motherfornicator.”
