Following the news that Harry and Meghan were to take a “step back” from Royal duties, Buckingham Palace made a swift move and have signed Sam Allardyce as caretaker princess until the end of the season.
Allardyce, who was hotly touted to become the new Arsenal manager but was overlooked for that position recently, snapped up the chance at being the new Princess.
He said “Look, the girl done really well at the beginning. Her defence was strong and she was very popular with the lads, but in this league you need more than a lovely smile and a pregnancy to stay part of the big names in the game.”
“I think I will bring a much needed stability to the role and put a sense of fun back into Kensington Palace”.
Sam’s, or should we say Princess Sam’s first Royal Duty will be this weekend, away at Liverpool to open a new hospital for baby lambs.
Meanwhile, the hunt is still on for Prince Harry’s replacement. At first the bookies favourite was Ed Sheeran, but he has an American tour coming up so couldn’t commit.
Other contenders for the job as Prince are Danny Dyer, Idris Elba, Hugh Grant and the surviving Chuckle Brother.
