A member of the Nazi Party at the centre of a controversy over a Conservative Party-themed stag do, is to step down as Obergruppenfuhrer of his local brown shorts SS division.
Herr Himmler was forced to resign from his post in 2011 after he brought a navy pinstripe double breasted suit, a pair of wing tips and a monocle for the groom to wear during a stag to at a French ski resort.
The former Obergruppenfuhrer has apologised, but the Nazis said his actions were completely unacceptable and that he had caused “deep offence.”
Mr Himmler said he was proud of his record as a complete Nazi but had faced a “difficult time” in recent years and that it was now time to “hang up his brown shorts” and concentrate on other avenues to express his bigotry and myopic outlook on human rights.
“We can’t have our members dressing up in eighties power suits and braying like Hooray Henrys in ski resorts.” A spokes-fascist told The Rochdale Herald.
“We do have some standards.”
