The social media platform Twitter is going bonkers today after permanently banning a user for inciting an abusive racist attack on a fellow Twitter user after being repeatedly told not to on several occasions.
Renowned international dickhead and Breitbart Tech Editor Milo Yiannopoulos went to see the new Ghostbusters film a few days ago. He didn’t enjoy it very much.
Rather than simply say that he didn’t enjoy the film he racially abused the actress Lesley Jones in his review saying that her performance was worthy of a “minstrel show”.
He then went on to encourage his 400,000 Trump supporting racist fan base to hurl abuse at her until she understandably deleted her account.
Racist Twitterati appear to believe that every opinion is sacred, at The Rochdale Herald we see things a little differently taking a more “say what you like but we reserve the right to call you an idiot and if we catch you bullying anybody expect to be pulled out of your chair, beaten black and blue and thrown on to the street without a reference” approach.
In fact Harry Truman, the US President who dropped the bomb on Nagaski and Hiroshima, once pulled a journalist out of his house and leathered him in the street for repeatedly insulting his wife in the press, having been asked politely not to.
While we don’t endorse violence in any form we do think Milo wasn’t raised correctly and hasn’t learned the value of the saying “if you haven’t anything nice to say, don’t say anything”. We’d like to thank Twitter for offering him the opportunity to learn this valuable lesson now.
