MPs warned today that inflation is likely to increase to 3% in coming months and people are starting to worry.
During this current heatwave or “summer” that is sweeping across the UK and not giving any sign of letting up. People have been flocking to shops and ice creams vans to get their hands on the refreshing taste of mini milks. Trying to recreate childhoods, reminiscing to their young ones how they would eat these delicious treats in the park trying to swing over the top bar on the swings.
But, due to the new announcement coming from Westminster, many are starting to panic that their precious mini milks, being 20p before, will now be going up to 50p.
One elderly woman was asked, whilst nibbling on a mini milk, about the increase and how it will affect her. She shrilled that it’s a ‘Bloody outrage. Those fat cats up there in Westminster, don’t have a bloody clue do they! I bet when they were young they got magnums or soleros and have no idea on the plight of the common person. Thats why I don’t vote and should leave my mini milk alone’.
This unfortunately won’t be getting better anytime soon. A spokesman from Westminster, when asked what was being done so that people didn’t lose out, said that if you want anything nice and frozen ‘You’re best going to a premier store and getting an ice pole’.
So the divide between those higher up with their magnums and Soleros and those lower down with their mini milks and Cornettos is unlikely to change anytime soon.
