Michael Gove decided to stand up for those whose lack of self awareness is pathological today.
“I stand by my 300 million quid for the NHS a week bollocks and my crap about experts,” said the befuddled troll, “Everything I said during the Brexit thingy is totally correct!”
When asked to elaborate on his claim about experts he built this strawman: “Sometimes we’re invited to take experts as though they were prophets, as though their words were carved in tablets of stone and that we had to simply meekly bow down before them and accept their verdict,” he said, even though that’s not actually the case outside of the tabloid columns people like himself write.
He then added “I think the right response in a democracy to assertions made by experts is to say ‘show us the evidence, show us the facts,” apparently completely ignoring that the institutions he is aiming his barbs at did present evidence and his own claims were unevidenced assertions.
“He started banging on about groupthink next,” said an amused psychologist from Rochdale Community University’s Screaming Habba Dabba Dept, “which is fucking rich considering he is the elite he’s accusing of being clueless! If I didn’t think Pob was already dafter than Lego y fronts, I would say he’s gone stark-raving, knuckle-chomping, waffle gargling bonkers!”
Asked for the evidence behind the 350 million quid extra for the NHS that he’s now saying was true and not accepted only by those susceptible to groupthink, Mr Gove tweeted: Remain lost! So there! You lost! That proves I am right!
“Ah, that’s what evidenced claims look like,” said everyone before going back to ignoring the toad-faced irritant.
