The UK government has taken the lead in the worldwide contest to shut the stable door long after the horse has not only bolted but run amok and impregnated every mate it can lay its grubby hooves on.

UK airlines have said that, at the government’s insistence, 14 day quarantine measures will be introduced for all passengers arriving at UK airports. These measures will come into force at the beginning of June, almost three months after the Prime Minister announced a ban on non essential travel.

Well. That’s alright then.
