Exciting news for fans of the classic board game Cluedo as a new character is to be introduced! That character is no other than former UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair.

Players will be able to play as the former leader, invading the various rooms, searching for the murder weapon of mass destruction and figuring out who the alleged (war) criminal is.

The decision to include a public figure, who divides the country in such a manner, inciting rage within many, has come as somewhat of a surprise. Even more surprising, perhaps, is the decision to make the character immune from being accused as the killer.

This highly unusual move, which could lead to ever-lasting games, if the Blair card is in the pocket, has been met with criticism on social media.

Gamers have been taking to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to vent their anger toward the creators of the popular board game.

A top spokesperson for Hasbro told the Rochdale Herald, “We made the choice to add Mr. Blair as he is a well-known public figure who rouses interest. The reason we have protected the character from accusations, is because we feel it reflects reality. We find that people like an element of realism in their games”.

The controversial game is gaining interest, but it remains to be seen if it will become a cult classic in its own right.

The game is to be released in time for Christmas, for shoppers who were struggling for ideas and enjoy being constantly frustrated by politicians.
