Footage has been revealed of the touching scenes when Wayne Rooney was reunited with his hair donor.
The meeting took place on the rock of Gibraltar after Rooney was touring the rock and had just left the bus when he was approached by a TV crew.
A TV presenter for popular TV show Sorpresa Sorpresa approached Rooney and told him they had tracked down the donor of his hair. The donor, who wishes to remain anonymous then appeared from behind the bus and shook hands with Rooney.
The two were then bussed to a TV studio where Rooney presented the anonymous donor with a photo jigsaw puzzle of a portrait of Man Utd financial director Nick Humby and a replica Rooney Man Utd shirt which is very reasonably priced these days.
The hair donor who bears a canny resemblance to Rooney from the hair up was pleased with the gifts and said he was glad his hair went to a good cause.
Rooney’s agent has played down rumours that having Gibraltan hair is one of the reasons Spanish clubs have shown little interest in Rooney over the years.
The Herald has obtained documents that allege Rooney was considering signing with Italian club Juventus. The deal is alleged to have fell through when Juventus officials discovered Rooney’s views on eating pasta.
Rooney’s agent has consistently denied any such links to the old lady of Turn.
