President Donald Trump has spoken of his delight at how many people have come onto the streets of Hamburg to welcome him to Germany.
The spontaneous outpouring of emotions have moved him in a way he didn’t expect and have given rise to thoughts of possibly twinning Hamburg with Mar-e Lago.
He was said to be especially touched so many brought firecrackers and set up bonfires in his honour, even though his official birthday as President had already passed last Tuesday.
An aide to travelling POTUS said this to the Herald,
“Donald was particularly delighted that the German authorities involved watersports in the celebrations of his arrival in Hamburg.”
The large numbers of law enforcement officials turned out in his honour did not go without notice either.
“So, so many men and women in uniform to pay their respects to the Commander in chief of the free world is only appropriate. Donald really likes to see young, healthy people dressed in uniforms. Only more so the longer he is President and their boss.”
It’s thought the party to celebrate Trump’s visit will continue over the weekend.
“The President is considering a walk out into the crowds to greet people personally, but he’s worried that may just cause his fans to faint. It will be like a Beatles concert.”
It’s thought Trump will have special Time magazine covers printed in honour of the spontaneous street parties and send copies to Angela Merkel and the other junior world staffers attending his party in Hamburg over the next two days.
