Dead-pan mind boggler ‘Dynamo’ has announced that he will be opening a new chain of restaurants called ‘AbraKebabra’.

Bradford born ‘Dynamo’, real name Derren Copperfield, has long been a fan of the donner kebab and has decided to branch out from his usual brand of brain-melting illusions to provide a delicious late night snack to kebab aficionados up and down the country.

“When I walked out onto the River Thames in front of an amazed crowd it was an amazing feeling,” the 21st century wizard told The Rochdale Herald. “But when I got back onto the Embankment I thought to myself ‘I could murder a mixed donner with chilli and garlic sauce, maybe some taramasalata and a portion of onion rings.’

“I tried to find a decent kebab shop in central London but there’s nothing. I decided what I had to do was open my own restaurant so that other magicians, illusionists, prestidigitators and fans of all things magical can get themselves an enchanting kebab whenever they want one.”

The first restaurant will open in Covent Garden in the heart of London’s West End later this year.

Diners will be invited to eat using magic wands instead of cutlery and the menu will include specialities such as the signature ‘Dynamo’ which is served encased in a glass bottle which the diner then has to work out how to remove without smashing it. Other devilish delicacies include the ‘Penn & Teller’ which is carved at your table with a chainsaw and the ‘Paul Daniels’ which you will like but not a lot.

Dynamo hopes that the new venture will prove popular and intends to open branches in Las Vegas, Disneyland Paris and Clitheroe.
