A bloke from Rochdale is being praised as some kind of wizard today after getting a straw into a Capri Sun on his effort.
Ryan Griffiths, known as Beardy to his mates, pulled off the trick in front of a dozen or so witnesses behind the bus station in Milnrow.
While authorities have yet to finish their deliberations to verify that Mr Beardy did in fact get the straw in first go, some are saying that some kind of record has surely been broken.
“It was amazing.” Neville Neville of Heywood told The Herald. “I was behind the bus station buying a bag of Spice last Wednesday morning when this bearded bloke with a guitar got a Capri Sun out of his pocket and…bam. The straw was in and he was drinking it.”
“I couldn’t believe my eyes, because I’m on Spice and glue most of the time and that’s not good for your eyes.”
But my dealer and a bunch of the other lads who get together to huff paint thinner all swear blind he got that straw in in one deft move. Most of them are blind but you know what I mean.”
Mr Griffiths was unavailable for comment but it is understood that the Guinness Book of Records would like to invite him to repeat the feat.
“The previous record for getting a straw into a Capri Sun without wearing the contents is. 27 goes, with two separate straws.”
“We think it’s unlikely that he got in with one straw in one go. It’s unheard of. We’d like to see him have another go under laboratory conditions.”
Capri Sun have yet to comment.
