An all star cast is to appear in seasoned stage director Rupert Murdoch’s new adaptation of the J. M. Barrie classic ‘Peter Pan’.
Michael Gove has been cast as Tick-Tock, Theresa May as Captain Hook and Jeremy Corbyn as Tinkerbell.
The story has been updated for the modern era with May’s Hook having lost a hand to an upsurge in youth votes in a recent, unnecessary general election.
May travels about Britain in a big, blue Tory battle bus called ‘Brexit’, continually smashing clocks as she looks for any idea that will instill fear into the people. All the while attempting to ignore the diminishing time she has left in office.
Gove is never far away as the crocodile, close to hand in the storage compartment of the bus, constantly whispering, “Tick tock Theresa. Tick tock.”
Plucky Tinkerbell seeks to aid forever young Peter, who will be played by a rotating cast of university students, as he seeks to bring justice and mercy to a land clouded over by tabloid excesses.
Towards the story’s closing stages the tabloid press, lead by The Sun, suddenly abandon May as it becomes clear her ability to deliver Brexit is non-existent.
Murdoch is said to be relishing the chance to both direct and act in his latest stage production.
Although the mermaid will be updated to an ageing media baron who has recently married the well known ex of the lead singer of a famous rock and roll band.
