The Shard in London is nearing completion, according to developers.
Once finished, it will stand at 310m and will be the tallest building in the United Kingdom and the 105th tallest in the world.
Construction began in March 2009 but has been dogged by delays, a funding crisis and wild geese.
‘I think it’s a disgrace,’ said a person we told this to. ‘We’re in 2016 and they still haven’t
finished that top bit.’
Designed by an Italian, who are well-known for not finishing things, The Shard has enough windows to cover eight football pitches, which will be kept clean using genetically modified
slugs.
