Disgraced labour MP, serial text pest and pornography enthusiast Simon Danczuk accused the former Business Secretary Sir Vince Cable of being “old hat” on Twitter this morning.

Sir Cable, who wasn’t suspended from his party for sending sexually explicit text messages to a 17 year old girl, has yet to respond to Simon Danczuk’s “old hat” accusation.

New revelations earlier in the week concerning Mr Danczuk’s expenses featured prominently in the press and included items such as tissues for upset female consituents. Why they might be upset is a subject for another article.

Sir Vince, who did not have to pay back almost £12,000 in expenses in March 2016 for claiming that his children were living with him in London routinely when they weren’t, has yet to comment on Mr Danczuk’s expenses arrangements.

Sir Vince ranked 568th out of 645 MP’s in terms of expenses claims and didn’t take a pay rise in 2009.

Sir Vince also didn’t try to claim a fee paid to a PR consultant for crisis management after sending lewd text messages to a 17 year old girl on expenses.

We watch the Twitter war with interest.
