The world’s biggest online auction site has today announced plans to close every Sunday to give all their low paid workers a much needed day off. Currently trading 365 days a year, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day the staff are near total exhaustion.
eBay was founded in 1995 initially to aid people to sell and buy various commodities between each other across a world wide market but in more recent years has been focusing on cheap, poorly made imports.
Their backroom staff of 16 people work tirelessly to wrap pack and post out almost 12 billion items a day but recently have been at breaking point. Sunday closing will give them the much needed chance to sleep and recover before Monday morning comes calling once again.
