Rochdale man Martin Williams has spent today in his local pub attacking the ‘Tory Death Tax’.
Williams 48, told the Herald, “It’s ridiculous. My mum and dad only live in a piddling little £500,000 house they bought for £250 in 1961. Now the Tories want them to pay for the care that they’ll need as they get older. The state should be funding that.”
Williams who had been planning to spend the inheritance he would receive on his parents death said, “My Facebook followers have grown to expect a certain level of sophistication from my photos. I’d intended to jack in work, go on a world cruise and stay in 5 star hotels with that money. I won’t even be able to afford a 3 star in France now.”
Williams has also revealed that it may affect the way he intends to vote. He had previously criticised the Labour Party for wanting to start a Marxist revolution but now thinks otherwise. He told the Herald, “Jeremy is my man now. I’ll vote for the Marxists if it means I get to keep my mum and dad’ss house when they die. Private ownership. That’s the Marxist way.”
