Amber Rudd was today left with egg on her face after a leaked email detailing a new strategy to combat immigration levels and increase what the government has labelled the ‘assisted return’ of migrants was leaked from within the Home Office.
The email, which was sent with the Home Secretary as early as June 2017 outlined the plan to force migrants to wear targets in public at all times. The email also called for the strategic deployment of a task force of year seven Etonians armed with air rifles onto the streets of London – their mission is simple; maim and detain.
Rudd claims to have had no prior knowledge of the plans claiming that she had never seen the email. However, this most recent leak will certainly raise questions about her stance on placing physical targets on migrants to enforce their removal from the country.
A spokesperson for the Home Office, who has requested to remain unnamed told us, ‘This Government initiative doesn’t stop here. It goes behind placing targets of refugees and asylum seekers. There are also plans to put targets on the homeless and the unemployed.’
