Prince Harry is breaking with Royal protocol by marrying an American actress he is barely related to.
Kensington Palace are said to be disturbed saying in a press release that it is “very unusual but not completely against the rules” for members of the Royal Family to marry people who are not first cousins.
“There have been several marriages in the last two hundred years or so where members of European Royal families have married people as distantly related as perhaps a second, or in one case a third cousin.”
“It’s almost completely unique that you’d have to go back 15 generations to see how Meghan and Harry are both related to the High Sheriff of County Durham Ralph Bowes.”
The distant cousins will live together in Harry’s modest home, the 60 bedroom Nottingham “Cottage” at Kensington Palace.
Ms Markle will become HRH and a senior royal, despite being only part cold-blooded lizard, after marrying her distant relative and joining the Windsors.
