As crowds of surprisingly calm protesters gather at Westminister to demand the resignation of the recently elected droid, Maybot 2.0, The Kaiser Chiefs are set to release their 2004 hit ‘I Predict a Riot’.

The single last had an outing in 2011 after thousands of people descended on London to get angry about something or other, smash up a kebab shop, set fire to cars and rob a 42″ plasma TV and a pair of trainers.

However, tensions are palpable in the capital after a series cuts, negligence and mistakes led to the deaths of potentially hundreds of people, after the Grenfell tower blaze tragedy last week.

To add insult to injury, Maybot 2.0 was mistakenly booted into ‘Officials’ mode, where her core program can only react to questions and statements from people in uniform with a cursory, expressionless nod of her dour, realistic humanoid flesh mask.

This was a catastrophic mistake. Locals were angry at her apparent nonchalance and unwillingness to come closer than several metres of any person personally affected by the tragedy. Presumably out of a fear they would touch her?

It was made worse by the knowledge that in the Maybot 2.0 users manual there is a warning that ‘Officials’ mode should not be selected in a time of national mourning.

However, since her visit she’s been rebooted into ‘Compassion’ mode and deployed to various places where real people exist, but it was too little too late.

The anger has spread like an STD in a university, and as the protests continue into an inevitable crescendo, The Kaiser Chiefs are set to make a fortune.
