Our colleagues at the Swindon Advertiser have told us that bacteria in the water has resulted in the Oasis pool being shut for the rest of the summer holidays.
The discovery of cryptosporidium, which poses a risk to health being linked to an illness which causes diarrhoea, prompted operators to take the step of closing the pool for three weeks – right in the middle of the peak summer period.
A spokesman for Liam Gallagher declined to comment on the latest hiccup in the Manchester band’s plans to branch out into the family leisure industry.
