The Curse of “The Railway Children” has struck again. The film made in 1970 told the tale of a group of children and a railway.
However the cast have paid a heavy price for their involvement. First to go was Beatrix Mackey who died peacefully in her sleep in 2010 aged 99.
The curse struck again as Dinah Sheridan was taken from us in 2012, peacefully in her sleep aged 92. Now Deddie Davies is the next to go. Ms Davies appeared as Mrs Perks in the Railway Children and as Marj in the valleys-based comedy Stella but now will forever be linked with the Curse of the Railway Children.
Experts are at a loss to explain the Curse but Bernard Cribbins has said he is off to the pub and may be some time.
