There are rumours circulating today that Prince Philip will get a central role in a new series of, The Walking Dead.
The show depicts characters trying to stay alive following a zombie apocalypse. Each week the characters have to avoid being attacked by mindless zombies collectively known as “walkers”. The characters must also face conflicts with other living groups of survivors that have formed their own community.
One insider told us, “We were over in England for Christmas and there was the news about the Duke. They were interviewing people who had travelled miles to watch the Royal Family and we just realised that Prince Philip would be perfect as a zombie leader. There’s a huge turn over of characters and we needed a new big name for the show so our people got in touch with his people. I’d like to reassure everyone that no actual touching was involved. Anyway, filming starts next week.”
“The success of The Crown has shown us that shows about the Royal Family do well with viewers. Nothing actually happens in The Crown other than the Queen signing documents off and ignoring her kids. Imagine a show where a central member of the Royal Family and Princess Diana fight each other?”
A Palace insider told us, “There is hope that this will lead to other opportunities in TV shows for the Royal Family. Prince Andrew is alleged to be in contact with the producers of Orange Is The New Black. I can’t tell you too much but if you need an appropriate adult then Andrew might be your man.”
It’s not yet clear who will play zombie Princess Diana in the show although Prince Edward was recently seen in tights.
