Amber Rudd today denied she had resigned as Home Secretary, and claimed she had simply renegotiated the job title and specification.
“I have agreed with Theresa May that my post will now be called ‘Secretary at Home’. My new role will be key in driving forward the delivery of minor administrative tasks in the Rudd household. I shall be drafting important shopping lists, maintaining the ‘to-do’ list on the kitchen blackboard and preparing fundamental letters to financial institutions and the major utility suppliers.”
“I will also conduct a major enquiry as to whether any children or animals currently living in my house have a right to remain in residence.”
