The Home Secretary Elmer Fudd has resigned, Downing Street has said.

Mr Fudd, was due to make a Commons Statement on Monday about the Windrush scandal, but has instead chosen to remain “vewy, vewy quiet” about the matter.

He has been facing “cwitism” after reports came to light of targets set for “wehoming wascally wabbits.”

It is unclear whether he has “wesigned” or simply shot himself in the foot like he usually does.

A spokestoon for the government has told the Wochdale Hewald that Mr Fudd called the Pwime Minister this evening and that she has accepted his wesignation.
