A Rochdale Man who was running dangerously low on half price Pringle socks from TK Maxx has praised friends and relatives for stepping in and buying him almost two dozen pairs for Christmas.

“I was beginning to run low on socks.” Dave Bloke from Milnrow told The Rochdale Herald. “I’ve been praying for more socks for months. It truly is a Christmas Miracle.”

“If relatives had’t stepped in I might have had to wash socks more than once every three or four months.”

“This latest shipment of socks should see me through until the end of February if I turn them inside out at least once I can probably get to April without having to wash a pair.”

“The fact that everybody in my family bought me a at least one box of cut price socks from the bargain bin in TK Maxx just goes to show how well they all know me.”

“Christmas really is a magical time.”
