Heartwarming news reaching us from Haiti today after they’d heard that Amanda Bangor and her family from Norden had their trip to Disneyland cancelled because of hurricane Matthew.
The Haitians first heard of their heartrending plight on Facebook, they were touched by the tragic loss of Disney dollars.
Prosper Avril who started the KickCrowderStartFunding for them said:
“We were genuinely touched by the saddening events that have ruined this family’s holiday. It is a bit windy in Orlando right now. We know what it’s like to have your dreams blown away like the roof of the tin shack you live in. We couldn’t begin to imagine the kind of suffering they’re going through at this time and it was the least we could do to help them alleviate their pain.”
So far the fundraising has racked a stunning $7,463 which would have been great if it wasn’t for the pound falling through the floor after Brexit, which means it’s now worth £700.
Amanda Bangor said “It’s really touching that the Haitians are doing this for us, they must understand the pain and upset of not being able to see Micky Mouse or go on Thunder Mountain, we are grateful from the bottom of our garden.”
