The popular exhibition celebrating the life and work of the Lunts is due to return to Rochdale Central Library next week.

TheLunts

Rochdale born couple Cybil and Alec Lunt are probably best known for their popular vaudeville stage performances during their heyday in the 1920s, as well  as several notable film appearances in Syd Armylthorpe movies of the era such as ‘You Killed It, You Eat It’ and ‘Onward, Forward Moving Munchy Frog Gang’. Cybil Lunt also currently holds the title for the first person to be electrocted by a hand blender.

The exhibition, comprising video, audio and physical memorabelia including postcards, movie posters, cigarette cards and book covers (pictured), forms an affectionate look at two of Rochdale’s most loved celebrities of yesteryear.

Free Entry. Rochdale Central Library, No 1 Riverside, OL16 1XU, is currently closed to the public due to the floods. Wardle Library is situated at 448 Birch Road, Rochdale OL12 9LH.
