With the season now officially spring, clocks up and down the nations have been moved forward one hour to adjust to British Summer Time; or if you are from Burnley, they just happen to be right again after six months.
However, the relatively simple task of adjusting a clock out side of the BB10-12 post code, has not been a simple matter for one of England’s most beloved land marks, Stonehenge.
Philonius Archimedes Pendragon, also known as Phil Jones to normal people, is a Druid living in Wiltshire
“During the week Im an IT technician for the local council, but come weekends and in certain celestial alignments I’m a 3rd tier Druid in the order of Bards Ovates and Druids.”
Instead of his usual Saturday night ritural of playing Talisman or Warhammer, Philonius, along with several dozen other dorks in his order spent the evening moving the several ton standing stones at Stone Henge one hour forward.
We found Philonius snoozing in the back of his Morris Marina and asked how he felt after partaking in such a momentus task
“Well I’m glad it’s only twice year, I’m fecking knackered after spending all night with my wizard sleeves rolled right up, beard thrown over the shoulder and heaving those bloody great boulders all night. Now if you don’t mind, I want a few hours kip before the model railway fayre later.”
