Birmingham Airport officials have announced they’ve accidentally started a Windows 10 update. The update is alleged to have caused the air traffic control centre to close down.

A spokesman told us, “At 3 this afternoon an operator got a message asking if he wanted to begin an update or delay it for 24 hours. Unfortunately, his finger slipped on the mouse and he began the update. We’ve spoken to an IT specialist and been told it could take up to a month to complete. Until this happens no aircraft will be able to take off or land.”

There had been a lot of speculation earlier about what had caused the issue. One man, a mechanic from Wolverhampton told us, “It’s obviously Theresa May trying to frame Russia. Think about it?”

Other theories have involved Russian spies, North Korea and an elaborate theory involving Elvis.

Then this afternoon Birmingham Airport officials confirmed they’d screwed up a Windows 10 update.
