Donald Trump has told D-Day veterans that there were very fine people on both sides of the battles to control the Normandy Beaches during World War Two during a press conference in Portsmouth today.

Speaking to reporters he pointed out that the Allied forces, or Alt-Left as he prefers to call them, came charging up the beaches and launched a completely unprovoked assault against the Alt-Right.

“Those guys charging up the beaches didn’t even have a permit to be there. There was blame on both sides.”

“Sure there were quite a lot of Nazis manning machine gun turrets. Sure you had a lot of white supremacists there, but there were some very fine people there too.”

D-Day veterans and the Queen were heard to mutter “For fuck’s sake.”
