The Government has been urged to hold a referendum on euthanasia following research that showed that 52% of voters would support the introduction of euthanasia to the UK.

A survey of Britons has found that 52% of people believe a euthanasia programme should be employed to offset any negative effects of Brexit.

Voter Cliff Edge said, “I voted Brexit and I’ve voted for this. We’ve been dictated to by a fascist state for too long. These people who want to remain are traitors and don’t deserve to live. Euthanasia will help cut costs for the NHS too which will help if funding has to be cut.”

Mike Rotch said, “The people have spoken. 52 percent, including me, support euthanasia. We’ve won and that means we get to decide who boards the suicide waggon.”

One unnamed MP said, “A decent euthanasia programme would help all sorts of areas. Housing would become more affordable, strain would be taken off the NHS, roads would be less congested and I wouldn’t have to take other peoples opinions into account. I think it’s a bloody good idea.”

The proposed bill has also met with royal approval with Prince Charles thought to be a passionate advocate. Prince William is thought to be less of a fan of Prince George’s enthusiasm for the bill.
