In a world exclusive, The Rochdale Herald can reveal that super succesful singer songwriter, Paul Simon, is working on a rewrite of the hit song, ‘Mrs Robinson’, from the classic movie, The Graduate.

It appears Mr Simon, once married to Carrie Fisher, was inspired after seeing the leader of whatever this rabble of far right extremists is called this week on Good Morning Britain, arguing the toss with Piers Morgan and spreading hate and lies to the nation.

The troubadour spoke to us earlier via satellite phone,

“Yeah I saw a clip of the interview on the news and I was shocked someone could be that despicable and that someone could make Piers Morgan look like a sensible, loving caring individual. You have to be a special kind of horrible to do that.”

“As soon as I heard his name, my old hit came into my head and I started thinking of new lyrics.

It’s still a work in progress as I can’t quite find the words to describe how low this scumbag will go in peddling his hate. Anybody who organises a peaceful march but then starts calling religious people scum needs to be stopped, mocked and ultimately silenced.

Why does he feel the need to promote his ideas and criticise innocent, peaceful people due to the actions of one man influenced by him and others. it’s unbelievable. And I might finish this and put it out and exploit him like he is doing to others.”

Mr Simon then played us a little bit of the new version on the phone and we managed to decipher some lyrics:

“So here’s to you Tommy Robinson Jesus thinks that hate is very bad Don’t be that sad
God bless you please Tommy Robinson pack your bags and please be on your way hey hey hey…”

Mr Simon ended the interview saying he may record it with Art Garfunkel, even though he hasn’t worked with him for many years, because,

It would be fitting in the spirit of togetherness in these troubled times that people work with one another despite their differences and achieve progress peacefully.”
