Vice-President elect Mike Pence was roundly booed after he attended a performance of Broadway musical ‘Hamilton’ entirely by accident.

A member of the audience told The Rochdale Herald:

“When I saw him in the audience I thought it was a bit strange. Here was a man who has backed legislation that severely limits the rights of LGBT groups in musical theatre. He & ‘The Donald’ (© Mad Magazine), have also campaigned on a ticket that demonises black & Latino communities, but ‘Hamilton’ famously has a cast comprised largely of minority performers & draws on the rap & hip-hop genres.”

It was later confirmed that confused homophobic racist tourist Mr. Pence and his entourage had ended up in the theatre as a result of a misunderstanding. They believed the hit Broadway show was based on the life of the F1 driver Lewis Hamilton and were surprised when the story unfolded. Both Vice-President elect & his entourage sat patiently through nine songs before noting none were about cars, money or bribes.

The fallout from Mr. Pence’s visit has already began to be felt, with septuagenarian Social Media addict Donald Trump threatening to stop all Broadway performances unless his book ‘The Art of the Deal’ is adapted into a musical or Mike Pence receives an apology.

The spokesman for the cast of Hamilton issued a statement this evening that they would apologise, once Ben Elton apologises for ‘We Will Rock You’.
