Since 1919, on the second Sunday of November, otherwise known as Remembrance Sunday, a two minute silence has been observed at 11am at war memorials, cenotaphs, religious services and shopping centres throughout the country.

Not be left out of the heartfelt outpouring of empathy for the fallen dead of past conflicts, British arms manufacturers have said they will be issuing limited edition Remembrance Day armaments.

The shells, many of which will be destined for Syria, will display the poppy emblem with the motto “Lest we forget” emblazoned along their sides.

A legal representative for the British Conglomerate of Ballistics and Armaments contacted us to tell us:

“Our arms manufacturers will proudly hold a period of 2 minutes silence in all their factories. In that spirit, we have hand picked a select group of artisans to lovingly hand paint a limited selection of shell casings before they are despatched to our customers. As long as war continues there will, sadly, be a continued demand for our products. The tribute is a small act which we are most humbly proud to announce.”
