A large group of heavily armed men carrying clubs and guns attacked and burned the homes of several thousand people in Northern France yesterday evening.

Reports are emerging that the masked attackers abducted hundreds of people, forcing them onto buses and taking them to undisclosed locations around France. Boko Haram have yet to claim responsibility for the attack but authorities have yet to rule out their involvement.

Several of the attackers were hit by stones thrown by terrified villagers but none were hurt as they were all wearing Kevlar body armour, helmets and carrying Perspex shields.

Police in Northern France are yet to deny that the attacks were racially motivated.

More on this as it breaks.
