Rami Malek has won the Emmy Award for best leading actor in a drama. He is the first minority actor to win in 18 years.

“We’re very proud to show our appreciation for ethnic talent,” said an Emmy Awards spokescracker, “I mean, we didn’t know he was of Egyptian heritage. I thought he just had a weird name. That still counts though, right?”.

Malek, who plays Elliott Alderson – son of two white people – in hacking based drama Mr Robot said, “For me to stand here as an untypical but sort of white looking man, and to have come home with this, speaks a lot about where we’re headed.

“Maybe this will open the door for other minorities who are just white enough not to upset the bigots.”

Season 2 of the tense drama concludes this week, and if Tyrone isn’t dead and Darlene is, I am going to kick Sam Esmail’s arse.
